No, providing the soil and general weather conditions are favourable.  It is common knowledge that blueberries require ericaceous (acid) soil however more important than that is the level of exposure.  The new shoots are highly susceptible to drying out in persistent windy and/or conditions, so a sheltered site and plenty of water are important things to consider when siting new plants.
